Evolution of a tune...

I have a tune in my head. I hope to record it eventually and play it to you.

My studio time is limited. Real world responsibilities mean that I can't spend much time in the studio.

It might take me some time to finish this track. I may even get bored with it and never finish it at all, but I thought you might be interested to listen to its progress from the initial idea to the final uncompleted track so I am going to post updates on my progress in this thread.

All I have been able to record so far is a few bars of the intro to the prologue. Don't get too excited; we really are at the beginning of the process here....

Btw. Damn soundcloud programmers. The last days I always get a security sandbox violation error from the player widget here and can not play the tracks, only directly on soundcloud.

Well here is the next evolution of the tune. It's not much different to start with - just a bit longer - I've added in a few more of the 'themes'.

Remember... this is the prologue... a sort of overture... so expect short pieces of 'tune' with little development and fairly abrupt changes.

Where will this go? I don't know. Maybe nowhere; I'm struggling with part three. I'm thinking perhaps to ditch the 'piano only' approach and bring in some more instruments. We will have to wait and see.
