i've never really played with sylus that much.
the other ones yes quite a bit.. atmosphere!
and trilogy too before i owned decent sounding basses...
but i never really got into stylus that much.. it sort of bored me :/
I never got around to asking or researching until now .
You know how spectrasonics stylus is multi timbral bit of gear? when you select a cool loop for channel one, say a kick loop.... then flick over to channel 2 to add a high hat and snare, you have to go through the whole file system again just to find the same shelf in the library that you were in only 2 seconds before...
my question is...
Is there a bank hold button on this software to prevent the above from happening<?>

yeh dope I hear you
loops are by nature a bit loopy
but actually keying the slices can be quite rewarding
anyway.... here is another you may know
what is all the latch modes in Cubase.... auto touch crossover, gaps loop to start to end trim.... I don't know what these are. Problem is I don't know what they do... what is the title? I have no intrinsic understanding of a latch in music, only on a box made of wood or a door.... I don't know what a music latch is
can you help me with that one?
adjeeeeee where are you ?
:P
Title: Automation.
You record some fader moves on the vocal track... it's close but the word "umbrella" is still too loud so you need to go back and redo just that bit*.
Next time you move the fader... what do you want it to record? Continue from the moment you touch the fader? Record just this bit? It's a bit like 'punching in' used to be on a tape machine.
Don't ask me what all the various options mean 'cos I don't know. I don't use automation that way.
That's what I think it's all about. Could be wrong.
tB.
thanks tB presume you are using studio one still and had to think back into the dark ages to answer this simple question.
I have had trouble with automation ever since they put all these latch options into the software.
This type of situation forces me to use a workflow like this:
1. Create a desktop shortcut to the song folder.
2. When needing a file from the folder in an application: Open Drop List > Desktop > double-click folder shortcut = voila, easy access to the song folder
