What i find interessting about printed magazines is, that they usually come with a dvd.
Those DVDs often offer some GB of samples and "special editions" (SE) of plugins. Those SE versions are mostly cut down versions of the full version, but they are no demo versions which timeout.

I have been reading (and buying) ComputerMusic mags for about 10 years. Here in Italy there used to be 3 different ones. Then one by one they closed down, the last one closed only a few months ago. Thanks recession!!!

So now I read them online (UK and USA versions) and also guitar's mags, when I get hold of some.

My favourite has to be Sound on Sound...but they've become very product orientated over the last few years or so...and their articles seem to be biased now...

SOS used to be my bible and I agree, now it seems to be product orientated and (very) biased. Not the clear-cut "this is how it works" sort of mag it was once.
But what bugs me the most is that I once used to buy a good music related mag on every saturday, then come home, put a favorite vinyl to spin, sit in front of the stereo and enjoy the music and the mag.

    I don't own a laptop (sigh!).
