Grammy Winning T Bone Burnett Describes Pro Tools As An 'Impermanent Medium'

Not only is Grammy Winning T Bone Burnett one of the top producers around, he is also known for having a few things to say.
In this interview with the Hollywood Reporter he talks about technology in recording including Pro Tools and digital, he says “People who were working in Pro Tools 6 five years ago can’t even access their masters anymore. None of the plug-ins work, nothing is supported. So you’re working in a very impermanent medium. Which is cool if you don’t care.”
On digital he says “Digital is terrible. It’s not archival, because it’s turning over every 10 years at the longest”
